I have a master's degree in special education for children, and I'm certified teacher. I've always loved helping children, and I find this work very rewarding. My experience working with children dates back to being a babysitter and nanny, and later as a teaching assistant at the preschool level. As a tutor, I focus on each individual student's needs, and I try to make learning interesting and fun. The approach that works for one student won't necessarily work for another, so I put forth the effort to find the most effective way to help the student that I'm with. I can tutor elementary math, English through the college level, history through the college level, writing, social studies, English grammar and syntax, and reading. In my free time I like to hike and cook.
